Views, views, views! This epic nine-mile day hike will ascend from Blue Mountain to Bake Oven Knob to give you the most fantastic vistas in the area. Highlights include an amazing four-mile hike along the Appalachian Trail through dense forest before scrambling our way to the summit along rocky terrain. 

We’ll depart from Philly at 9 am and make our way up to the picturesque town of Lehigh Furnace to begin our hike in the valley and then attack the ridge directly along the AT.  We’ll stop for lunch, snap tons of photos and enjoy the gorgeous views below before heading back down.More often than not, this trail will be completely ours and you’ll have the sunshine and fresh mountain air all to yourself!

Bring: well broken-in hiking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, backpack, lunch and snacks, 2 liters of water
